Semi Hits Good Samaritan in North Dakota Winter Storm

The North Dakota winter storm season seem to cause car accidents in the area to rise. While there is nothing people can do about weather conditions, they can control what they do when behind the wheel. Unfortunately, weather related or not, auto accidents happen and these accidents often result in serious injuries or even fatalities for the victims involved.

After one recent multiple vehicle accident, a man got out of his car to check on the condition of the others involved. Apparently, while outside of his vehicle, he was hit by a passing tractor trailer. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries as a result. It is unknown if any medical treatment was given or if he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There has not been any information released regarding the driver of the tractor trailer. It is unknown if any citations were given or if any charges are pending in this matter. Local authorities have not provided any information regarding contributing factors in the cause of the accident.

Auto accidents that result in fatality can be significantly difficult for the surviving family members to cope with. A loss like this can not only be emotionally difficult for North Dakota residents, but it may also produce an unnecessary financial strain. Loss of wages and medical and funeral expenses can all take their toll. Often in automobile accidents, the victims’ families may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim against an individual thought to be responsible if any evidence of negligence is brought forward.
