Jared W. Gietzen

Growing up I was a natural leader with strong advocacy skills. I have always had an interest in helping people and representing their interests. Whether it was in high school, undergrad, or during law school, my friends and peers could rely on me to get things done. I value constitutional freedoms and individual rights and believe protecting these against infringement by the government or powerful corporations is of utmost importance. Pursuing a career in law was a natural extension of my skills and interests.

Growing up on a family farm in southwest North Dakota, I learned the values of compassion, hard work, and dealing with adversity. After high school, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Minot State University. My training and experience in healthcare allows me to bring a unique perspective to the practice of law beneficial to my clients. The transition from healthcare to law is more natural than people realize, so it was an easy decision for me to go to law school.

What I do

My primary practice areas are plaintiff’s personal injury representation and criminal defense. Whether someone has been accused of a crime or harmed by the negligence of another, I work hard to resolve my clients’ problems. I have represented people in a wide variety of matters ranging from minor traffic tickets to the most serious felonies under North Dakota law. I have also represented people injured in car crashes and other accidents resulting from someone else’s negligence. Just as each client is unique, so too are the issues someone may be facing the first time they step into our office. Because there are no one-size-fits-all answers to problems, I do my best to adapt to each client’s unique needs. My goal in every case is to provide skillful, aggressive representation to find a resolution to your situation.

When the day’s work is done

I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, engaging in outdoor activities, cooking, entertaining, and watching Fighting Sioux Hockey and Green Bay Packers football.
