Bismarck Car Crash Leaves Elderly Women Injured

Despite a person’s best efforts to use caution when out on the road, accidents can happen in an instant. Car accidents are not something someone can really prepare for and they often result in injury and/or financial hardship to those involved. A recent Bismarck car crash in North Dakota left one woman injured and has left local authorities searching for answers.

The accident occurred at a local intersection in Bismarck. A smaller passenger car, driven by an 85 year old woman, was turning at an intersection when it supposedly stopped in the southbound lane and was hit by a pickup truck. Her car was apparently struck on the driver’s side and was pushed across the street into a nearby ditch. She sustained unspecified injuries and was taken to the hospital. Her current condition is unknown.

The driver of the pickup, a 31 year old male, and his passenger, a 2 year old boy, were reportedly uninjured. The accident is still under investigation while local authorities try to piece together what happened. It is unknown if any charges are pending in this incident.

Car accidents can leave their victims physically injured and emotionally scarred. Financial hardship can also often result from extensive medical bills. While this particular investigation is still ongoing, if the driver of the pickup is deemed responsible for the accident, the victim injured may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim. If liability is established before a North Dakota civil court, financial restitution may be awarded to help the victim in her road to recovery.
